  • Ronald A. Dario

    A lifelong resident of New Jersey, born in Hoboken and raised in Union City, Ron and his family are well known throughout North Jersey. After completing his undergraduate work at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Ron received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Ron focuses his practice in the area of Personal Injury, where he has recovered tens of millions of dollars in damages for his clients.


    In addition to his Personal Injury practice, Ron represents several Municipalities in collective bargaining agreements, interpretation of local government and Municipal law, housing guidelines, and labor law. Ron was also appointed to several Municipalities as a Municipal Prosecutor including Jersey City, Upper Saddle River and Wood-Ridge.


    Ron is the recipient of several awards including the Good Neighbor Award, and he was named to the Hall of Fame for Emerson High School in Union City, New Jersey.   Ron’s practice includes cases in New York and New Jersey.   • Jay B. Yacker

    Jay currently is the managing partner in the Jersey City office located at 583 Summit Avenue in Jersey City. Jay’s practice primarily focuses on the management of thousands of personal injury and civil actions in New York and New Jersey. In addition to his personal injury practice, Jay is an accomplished Bankruptcy and Real Estate attorney.


    Jay also is a Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Jersey City, at a position he has held for over 20 years.

  • Anthony R. Suarez

    Anthony R. Suarez, Esq., one of the firm’s partners, received his undergraduate degree from Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, summa cum laude in 1988 with degrees in History and Economics. Anthony then attended and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in New York City, and graduated in 1993, serving on the Environmental Law Review during his second and third years of law school, and volunteering time with the Fordham Law Community Service Project in New York City.


    Mr. Suarez specializes in Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, Estate Litigation, Municipal Government Law, and Wills.  He is also a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, a designation that only 2% of attorneys in New Jersey hold, demonstrating his dedication to excellence in the practice of law.  In 2006 Mr. Suarez was selected as a Rising Star among New Jersey Super Lawyers.


    Mr. Suarez presently resides in Ridgefield where he has held the position of Mayor for the past 11 years, with his wife Catherine, daughter Laura Anne and son Matthew Anthony, and enjoys coaching youth sports and volunteering for his church.

  • Shelley Albert

    After completing her undergraduate and law schooling at Temple University in Philadelphia Shelley Albert was an Assistant District Attorney for the prestigious New York County District Attorney’s Office in Manhattan. Under the direction of her boss, Robert Morgenthau, Shelley was a Felony Trial Assistant District Attorney. There she was responsible for prosecution of thousands of felonies. She was responsible for all forms of investigations and preparation through jury trial and verdict, and accepted to Homicide and Sex Crimes Unit. She trained and supervised other Assistant District Attorneys, handled Court calendars for Office of the District Attorney, worked in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, criminal justice agencies, and victim’s rights groups. Her cases included narcotic felonies, fraud including welfare and identity fraud, violent street crime, robbery patterns, sexual crimes including offenses against children, homicide, police shooting investigations, and Grand Jury investigations.


    Since being in private practice, Shelley has focused her practice in Criminal Defense and all aspects of Family Law litigation including Domestic Violence. Shelley has personally tried over 100 cases to verdict in her career. Shelley is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.


    Currently, in addition to her practice, Shelley has done volunteer work for Legal Services of New Jersey, and she has acted as a mentor for young attorneys through the Trial Lawyers Association

  • Brian E. Eyerman

    Brian E. Eyerman, LL.M., Esq., one of the firm’s partners, a native of New Jersey has enjoyed the vast array of experiences in taking his education in different areas of the Untied Sates and abroad. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida then attended and graduated from Rutgers University-Camden School of Law in the greater Philadelphia area. He was accepted into the United Kingdom's prestigious University of Southampton's Institute of Maritime Law program to study and earn his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in the areas on maritime and international trade. Upon returning to the United States, he joined Dario, Yacker, Suarez, & Albert, LLC first as an associate and was named partner in 2008.


    Mr. Eyerman specializes in Municipal Government Law, Workers Compensation matters, Personal Injury and Criminal Law.  He has appeared before every trial level Court in the State of New Jersey and was named a New Jersey Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2012 & 2013 and has been recognized by 201 Magazine for his litigation work.

  • Wilfredo J. Ortiz,  II

    Born in Bronx , New York, Wilfredo moved to West New York. New Jersey at the age of five, where he attended grammar school and high school. He attended Seton Hall University where he received a BS in Finance and  JD at Seton Hall School of Law. Wilfredo returned to the Bronx as Assistant District Attorney. Special  Investigations  Bureau , where he investigated  and litigated numerous high profile cases. In 1996 ,he returned to New Jersey  and developed a private practice.


    Wilfredo specializes in the areas of criminal, family, land use ,real estate, and governmental representation. He represents numerous municipalities and counties in a variety of roles, including but not limited to  special counsel, public defender , planing board attorney, tenant advocate, director of legal aid and outside litigation counsel. He  has held the position of town attorney, labor attorney, rent control attorney, and health board attorney to name a few.


    He also represents a variety of national corporations in a host of capacities including defense litigation,collections matters, and transactional work.


    Wilfredo has been recognized by multiple public and private organizations for legal abilities, including being named "Attorney of the Year"on more then one occasion.


  • Tiffany Burress

    After completing her undergraduate studies at Penn State University, Tiffany Glenn Burress attended Duquesne University School of Law and was an intern for the Chief Federal Judge of the Western District of Pennsylvania. There, she attended trials, hearings and status conferences.


    Since being in private practice, Tiffany focused her practice in Personal Injury, Entertainment & Sports Law and Contract Law. She is a member of the bars of New York and New Jersey.


    Tiffany was selected as Woman of Year for the NAPW (National Association of Professional Women), chosen as a distinguished alumni for Valley High School, presented with the House of Representative's Citation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for outstanding achievements and received the Super Lawyer award. Tiffany is dedicated to doing charity work and is the legal counsel for HHAF (Health Humanitarian & Aid Foundation).

  • Richard A. Foster

    Richard A. Foster, Of Counsel with the firm, is a graduate of Seton Hall University where he majored in Political Science and minored in English.  As an undergraduate, he participated in a summer long internship program with INTERPOL at the U.S. Department of Justice.  Mr. Foster earned his law degree from the Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island.  As a law student, Mr. Foster served as a summer law clerk intern in the State of Rhode Island Superior Court with the Honorable William A. Dimitri, Jr. and participated in a Comparative Advocacy Study Abroad Program in London, England.  Following law school, Mr. Foster served as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Criminal Part, Sussex County with the Honorable N. Peter Conforti, J.S.C.


    After he completed his clerkship, Mr. Foster was associated with the law firms of Robinson Burns, LLC in Bridgewater, New Jersey and The Brennan Law Firm in Cranbury, New Jersey.  Mr. Foster is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, the District of Columbia and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.  His experience includes personal injury, complex civil litigation matters, environmental and toxic tort litigation, commercial litigation, insurance defense litigation, and insurance coverage disputes.

  • J. Andrew Velez

    An experienced plaintiff's personal injury attorney with more than 25 years of successfully representing hundreds of clients in personal injury cases including, automobile/truck/bus accidents, bicycle/motorcycle accidents, fall downs, dog bites, food poisoning, wrongful death, and cases involving paralysis, brain damage, burns, disfigurement, and the “Dram Shop Act.”


    Andrew is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law (J.D. 1985) and SUNY College at Old Westbury (B.A., cum laude 1982). He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, and NJAJ.  Andrew Velez has been approved by the Hudson County Civil Arbitration Committee to be on the Superior Court list for the Mandatory Automobile Arbitration Program.


    Some of Andrew’s prior successes include:


    Arbitration Award $1,500,000 for a client who fractured his spine when an unidentified motorist changed lanes and hit the client’s vehicle causing it to veer off the road and

    hit a pole.


    Jury Award $217,900 for a client whose car was rear-ended. She required two surgeries to her knee and back three years post. The insurance company initially denied her claim as not because of the minor damage to the car and that the surgeries were too remote in time.


    Settlement $120,000 for a client with two disc herniations and two epidural injections.

    The settlement was reached on the eve of the trial.

  • Patrick M. Metz

    Patrick M. Metz, Esq. graduated from Rutgers College in 1988 with Bachelors of Arts in Political Science/English. He graduated Seton Hall University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1991. Mr. Metz was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the United States District Court in 1992.


    Mr. Metz has practiced law for 22 years with concentrations in Personal Injury both as an insurance defense attorney and plaintiffs’ attorney with heavy caseloads and substantial trial and appellate work. Mr. Metz presently continues to practice in both areas representing plaintiffs with severe personal injuries and defense clients such as Doctors, Lawyers and several County/ Municipal entities through the Joint Insurance Fund (JIF). Mr. Metz prides himself on constant interaction with clients to insure a team effort leading to the best possible results for his clients.

  • John V. Salierno

    John V. Salierno, Esq. focuses his practice on general civil litigation, with a heavy concentration in landlord-tenant law. He regularly appears in New Jersey Superior Court and municipal court.


    Before joining the firm, John served as law clerk to the Honorable Joseph R. Rosa, Jr., Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage, Law Division, Special Civil Part. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in political science from Saint Peter’s University, he attended Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, John was an intern with the Honorable Maurice J. Gallipoli, A.J.S.C., Hudson Vicinage, as well as the Hudson and Essex County Prosecutors’ Offices. He also worked as a real estate agent in Hudson County and continues to hold his New Jersey real estate license.
